Alright ya'll. It's cold, like really super duper frigid miserable cold. Us Southerners are not accustomed to single digit temps and wind chills below zero. Most of us do not even own the type of winter gear one needs for this kind of cold because it so rarely dips to around or below zero temps. So stop making fun of us!
The kids begged to go outside in the teeny tiny bit of snow we have but I kept telling them it was too cold. Finally, I gave in and they lasted all of five minutes before their lips were turning blue and they were asking to come back inside. Ain't nobody got time for that.

We tried the cool frozen bubble thing that keeps popping up on Pinterest but the wind was blowing just enough to blow the bubbles away before we could catch them. We will try it again later since this may be one of our only chances to see a frozen bubble for awhile.
It's too cold for the pets too. Our Golden Retriever who normally likes the chill, walked outside then turned around and walked back inside without pausing. We brought out indoor/outdoor cat in as well as our outdoor only cat. She earned her spot outside because she used to love to relieve herself on the kids toys and she's happier outside anyways. But now, it's too cold for her so she is currently sitting in the giant dog crate smack dab in the middle of our living room. Litter box and all.
Today was our first day back to homeschool after a nice three week break. We began our first lesson on Roman Numerals and of course Bot remarked "like the Super Bowl". We'll save his NFL obsession for another post ;)
That's all for today folks. No deep thoughts or great discussion. My brain is too cold for that.
We have brought our normally outside dogs in. Way too cold.
